There was a large branch caught in a tree from a strong storm 2-3 years ago. Whenever I walked by, I worried it might fall, even though it seemed secure.
At the beginning of July 2024, I found the branch lying on the ground. Relieved, I turned around, and as I began walking back to my house, I heard the Spirit say, "What has been held up is now being released."
I hadn't heard much personally in a while. Excited, I noted this in my journal for safekeeping. Often, we receive words from God and have to wait a long time before seeing them come to pass. We file them away in a journal or the back of our minds and carry on with life. When days and years pass without seeing the promise, we may question if we heard correctly.
As this month progressed, business had gotten really busy for me, and the last couple of weeks have been full of increase from the Lord. In fact, I am in awe of how God has been blessing me this month.
While writing something else in my journal today, I noticed the entry about the branch. I had forgotten about it momentarily, being so busy with the opportunities God has been placing in front of me.
I can see now that this word is coming to pass in my life. There has been a shift, and I wanted to testify of God's goodness and faithfulness to honor His word and promises. It may take a long time, or it may take no time at all. If you have a word from God, hold on to it. It is coming!
